Well, I've decided to starting writing in the blog again, to keep everyone updated on what's going on in our lives since we have just moved to Arizona. Things have been going well so far. It's definitely an adjustment for me. I've lived in Clarksville my whole life, so moving somewhere is exciting and nerve racking at the same time.
The view out here is absolutely beautiful. We are right next to the Huachuca Mountains which we can see right from our front yard.
The weather is great. That's the one thing that I love here. There is hardly no humidity. You don't get that hot sticky feeling, and best of all.... my hair doesn't get all frizzy! ha ha ... It is a very small town here, it's about 40,000 people. The base is very small only has 3 gates. There's not too many options when it comes to shopping around here, but everyone says that Tucson is about an hour away and it's worth the drive up there.
MariElena started her first day of school out here. She was very excited. She has definitely enjoyed her first week out there. It everything I had not to cry when I left her there her first day. She seems to be ahead of the other children in her class. She already knows her alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors, and how to write her name. This week they were on the letter D. I hope that she does not get bored. I'm sure she will not with all the arts and crafts that they do there.
The job market has been scarce here. I've gotten an offer from Citifinancial, but I'm still looking for other options. With city financial there are 2 late days which are until 7 :00 p.m. which I'm not sure that I really want to do. Hopefully something will come along.
Well I think that's it for now... I'll keep everyone posted on how things are going!
