Signing the Lease

Today I went and signed the lease to the house. It's nothing spectacular, but its in a nice neighborhood, and its very well taken care of. The backyard is pretty big, good for some nice summer BBQ's.

I'm excited and overwhelmed at the same time. I'm extremely excited about getting out of my mom's place. I figured that hey, if Steven can deal with the desert for a year, I could deal with my mom. BOY was that a mistake! ha ha. Lets just say, it is a big RELIEF to be getting my own place. I'm finally going to have some privacy.

I'm overwhelmed because now i need to find some trustful movers, and start getting everything together. Monday I'm gonna go ahead and preschedule for the electricity and water to be cut on on the 18th of July (the day our lease starts). So that weekend, everything will be up and running when we have the big move. Hopefully things will run smoothly.

Here is my new hair... I've died my hair anywhere from light brown to Dark Red, and I've finally decided to go back to my natural Color, Black.... It's gonna take a little bit for me to get used to it, it's a little dark... But i just keep telling myself.. all the money I'll save in the long run... lol

Insomnia

Well, I can't seem to sleep.... so what else is there better to do than to blog.. ha ha...
So, Things have been ok here on the "Homefront". A couple of days ago, I applied for a job within the same company that I worked for now (SunTrust). Right now I do Online Banking, and I guess I was getting a little bored with it, plus I have to drive almost an hour and 15 min one way just to get to work. It was so far away from home. Well I applied for an FSR (Financial Service Representative) Position in a branch located in Joelton. It would be almost 30 minutes closer to home for me, plus it would be easier for me to transfer to another branch when we move to Virginia in about a year or so.
Today I got the call, and they offered me the position, of course I Gladly accepted. I'm so excited. I can't wait to get my start date. I'm really excited about this new position because I can work my way into Investments and/or Loan servicing. That kind of knowledge I can take anywhere with me if we get stationed in other places. This is just another step towards moving to Virginia in the future.
In other things, Steven ended up getting a cell phone down there, so we are able to communicate on a more regular basis. I went online and I was able to find some GREAT international calling cards rates, only 11 cents to call an Iraq Cell phone I made sure to give it to Steven so he could give it to the other soldiers so they could communicate with their wives. Steven's Time Home

We had a good 2 weeks ... here are a few pictures, I will post some more as I get them. Steven has most of them on his laptop, so I have to wait til he can email them to me before I can post them... Wish we would have thought about that before he left.. ha ha ha....

For those of you who don't already know ... We also bought a Truck while he was home!!! YAY!! That was our first Major purchase together as a married couple, so it was pretty exciting... Unfortunately Steven also has those pictures so I have to wait until he sends me those also... But we ended up buying a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder 4x4. It's Black.. Almost fully loaded.. has everything except the Entertainment system. We absolutely Love it.
